About Alice
I am currently a student at the University of Oxford, studying for a BA in Economics and Management. I have a strong understanding of maths, having studied further maths and maths at A level. The quantitative side of my economics degree has ensured that my mathematical ability has stayed sharp and has helped round out my economics knowledge. I have prior experience in tutoring, teaching maths to students between the ages of 11 and 16. I also have experience working with younger people, having been a young leader at Brownies for 5 years, and running the youth debate club at my school for the students in lower school. I am dedicated, patient and friendly towards all my students, making sure that they are comfortable whilst still pushing them to improve academically.

We will begin the tutoring partnership by assessing what level the student is at, and what areas need to be focused on the most. The start of each lesson will be recapping and teaching a designated topic for the session. Individual practice questions will then be presented to the student before incorporating questions with other areas of the subject. This will help them retain knowledge of the overall subject, and be representative of real exam questions. If the student is struggling with the topic, more time will be spent on it, but if the student is secure, then other topics will be introduced. The student can also bring any specific questions they want addressed to the session. Lessons will be an hour long and will cover one to a few topics depending on the confidence level of the student.
