About Pauline

I am a committed and determined first-year student at Sciences Po Paris, Reims campus, driven by a profound passion for learning and personal growth. My academic pursuits centre around the dynamic intersections of political science, sociology, and humanities, where I strive to make meaningful contributions.

Outside of my academic endeavours, I actively participate in initiatives promoting gender equality, cultural awareness, and human rights advocacy. These experiences have further enriched my understanding of social dynamics and underscored my commitment to fostering a more inclusive and compassionate society.

In addition to my academic and social pursuits, I am deeply passionate about music, proficient in playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele, and actively engage in composition. Furthermore, I have a keen interest in gastronomy, particularly Mediterranean cuisine, which allows me to connect with my Corsican and Italian heritage while continuously expanding my culinary skills.

Through my diverse interests and engagements, I am dedicated to inspiring confidence and establishing legitimacy as a professional educator. I am committed to providing a nurturing and empowering learning environment for my students, where they can flourish both academically and personally.

About the lesson

During my upcoming one-month stay in London from May 19th to June 19th, I am excited to share my teaching experience, having previously taught English to young learners. Now, I am eager to impart my native language, French.

In my approach to tutoring, I prioritize interactivity, emphasizing participation, creative writing, and role-playing to immerse students in the language effectively. I am constantly seeking to refine my techniques and create a stimulating learning environment for my students, while also learning from them.

With experience in teaching English to middle schoolers, I typically organize theme-based sessions centred around movies, books, or everyday life situations. My teaching philosophy encourages students to take risks and embrace mistakes as part of the learning process.

Drawing from my own experience in English theatre as a child, I incorporate role-playing activities into my lessons, recognizing their effectiveness in language acquisition. I am dedicated to tailoring lessons to meet individual objectives and am open to collaborative goal-setting with my students.
