About Shivani

I am currently a sophomore at Rice University doing a double major in both Biosciences and Neuroscience! My goal as a tutor is to help other students succeed and teach them the skills that they will need for a variety of subjects in the future. I hope to make my lessons applicable across a wide variety of disciplines, ultimately allowing students to succeed at whatever they choose!

About the lesson

Hello! I am an undergrad at Rice and my teaching approach is very hands-on. With each student, I strive to better understand what helps them learn best and then will design lesson plans and assignments with that goal in mind! My typical lessons will include a quick 10 minute warmup on the subject matter at hand, which will ultimately lead the session. I will use their knowledge of the subject to guide my teaching which ensures that I am not restating things that the student already knows!
