About Maddie
Hi there!
I’m Maddie, and I'm a 20-year-old student at King’s College London, and I have always had a passion for learning, books, and English.
Throughout my academic journey, I have learned how to study smarter and get the best grades possible, having achieved grade 9s in both English GCSEs — getting one of the best marks in the country for English literature — and also achieving an A* at A-Level, and a degree average of a First Class honours.
I want to share all that I have learned in a way that will make a more mindful and passionate learner of any student, giving them the skills and confidence to take on their exams and other learning endeavours with patience and kindness.

I am offering help with the fundamentals of English literature and language GCSEs, with classes tailored to fit your specific needs. My approach is to help students understand how they learn, and use it to their best advantage in order to:
- Digest and analyse literature thoughtfully and sensitively;
- Revise with techniques that best fit their style of learning, know how to digest the daunting amount of content on the syllabus;
- Write essays as to best present their knowledge to the examiner.
In short, I aim to make English both fun and easy, with a variety of techniques to help students realise their full potential!
Please note that I am equipped with knowledge of the AQA syllabus, so I am best prepared to teach students in years 10 and 11, who are similarly set to take AQA exams.
