About Natalie
I am currently a fourth year college student double majoring in Global Studies (Culture and History) and Criminal Justice. I have my A.A. in Sociology, and I am in the process of reviewing prospective Graduate programs in pursuit of a M.A. in Anthropology. I have a desire to continue my education until I attain my PhD in further Anthropological studies. Throughout my years in college, I have gained the knowledge necessary to be adaptable and flexible in learning approaches. I understand the necessity of situational assessment and change. Before college, I struggled in almost every aspect of writing. I can relate to students who have no idea where to start. You can start with nothing and end up with everything. I've seen it happen for myself and I can help you see it happen for yourself.

My teaching method is primarily a student-focused approach. I first will conduct a thorough assessment of my students strengths and weaknesses by review of a provided writing sample from the student. After determining the areas that my student needs guidance (overall idea, word choice, writing style, organization, supporting statements, finding and citing sources, etc.), I will tailor a plan to meet the desired outcome of my lessons. I am very flexible in my lesson plans, and will re-assess and adapt when necessary. My lessons are most fit for high school seniors and college underclassmen. I specialize in Social Science writing, however I have experience in most areas of academic writing. I mostly work with APA style writing, however, I can assist in MLA styles of writing as well.
