About Brenda
I grew up in an English-speaking household, but my native language is isiZulu, so when I was integrated into the real world and had to communicate in my mother tongue, I struggled to be an effective communicator, which led me to learn isiZulu on my own through various websites. Due to this reason, I would like to offer those willing to learn the English language an opportunity to do so with me, as I do believe that I can relate to their willingness and fear of being judged for not being fluent in a language. I am an undergraduate with a Social Sciences Bachelor Degree, majoring in Psychology and Human Resources Management. With the skills I have acquired during my time of study, I hope that I will be pivotal in ensuring that one learns English.

To reap beneficial results, I will use a communication-language approach in my lessons to put students in a variety of real-life situations so that they can learn how to use their language skills to communicate in the real world. I will also be using grammar translation, which prioritises translation from the student’s mother tongue into the target language and vice versa. During their lessons, students can expect a relaxed and non-judgmental environment, with the understanding that each mistake made or said brings them one step closer to being effective english communicators.
