About Emily

My name is Emily, I'm 21 years old and I am in my final year at university studying Spanish and Portuguese. I chose to do my course as I love learning new languages and have always been fascinated by the diversity of language and culture. At the moment I am tutoring in English and Maths up to a GCSE level, both subjects which I have studied at A-Level, as well as Spanish up to A-Level. With my learning experience, I would like to be able to offer my knowledge to current students and help you navigate the examination process with any questions or doubts you may have about your chosen subjects.

About the lesson

I have been a tutor with a company for several years. I am flexible in my tutoring style and acknowledge that each student has a different approach to learning that works best for you, and I am happy to structure my lessons in whichever way you find most helpful. Each child responds differently to different ways of teaching and to get the best results it is important to figure out which method is the most engaging for them. Mistakes are bound to happen when learning and it is important not to allow them to discourage students, I encourage each student to see them as an opportunity to learn rather than a setback. Each of my lessons are 1 hour long, and for Spanish I tutor up to A-Level standard.

My daughter had hourly Spanish conversation classes with Emily once a week for a few months - she found it very helpful and it really improved her confidence in speaking.
