About Michael
I have 5 years of tutoring experience and try to focus on enhancing individual strengths with my personal approach to teaching. I've taught math, physics, and chess throughout my tenure at the Berkeley Chess School, iDTech, and iCodeEDU. I keep an open mind, and am willing to work on whatever is put in front of me.

My lessons tend to be uniquely catered to the students I am working with. For some, I provide homework help, and for others, I design and follow through with lesson plans on topics from game design to famous chess games. One constant feature, though, is that I ask the student to do some work outside of class, because independent learning is an important part of any skills gained.
