Hey, my name is Emerson and I have a passion for teaching STEM in a way that is fun and engaging. My biggest mission in teaching is showing young women like me that they have a place in these fields. Currently, I am finishing my final semester at The University of Maryland with an Information Science degree.

My lessons focus on creating a fun, encouraging, and low-pressure environment. I have 2 years of paid experience, and 3 year of volunteer experience. I was a volunteer general education tutor for middle and elementary school. I also volunteer through my professional service fraternity for pre-K to 6th grade students. We help with homework, reading, workbooks, crafts, and games. Additionally, I taught a robotics course for middle and elementary school students for a year. I have also tutored on a high school level including all types of math and SAT tutoring. I am currently searching for evening work during the week, and any weekend jobs.
