About Micah
I am a passionate and determined undergraduate History student at the University of Warwick, driven by my ambition to pursue a Master's and a Doctorate in this dynamic field. History has captivated me for as long as I can remember, and I am dedicated to teaching, using this discipline as a transformative platform for discovery and understanding. Through my own experiences and those of others, I have recognised the shortcomings of mainstream education, which often fails to provide the personalised approach necessary for students to thrive and truly grasp fundamental concepts. My goal is to bridge this gap, ensuring that every learner understands the significance and benefits of studying History and appreciates the invaluable skills it equips them with for their future. I am committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of students and inspiring the next generation of historians.

My lessons are thoughtfully crafted to be engaging and student-centred. They are specifically tailored for children and young people up to 16 years old who seek either supplementary support for mainstream education or enriching alternatives for home education. I focus on each student's unique abilities, interests, and needs, ensuring a personalised approach that makes learning history relevant and applicable to their everyday lives. By weaving in their passions, I help students grasp essential concepts like research, source analysis, and perspective, enjoyably and memorably. As a passionate second-year history undergraduate specialising in Renaissance and Modern History, I believe teaching history is a privilege. I see it as a vital gateway to understanding the world around us. By exploring the actions and decisions of those who came before us, we can uncover valuable insights into contemporary society and our journeys. I recognise that each student has a unique learning style, so my sessions can last up to an hour and a half, with breaks incorporated to foster comfort and focus. Together, we can cultivate a nurturing and inspiring learning environment where every student can flourish and develop a lifelong appreciation for history.
