About Finley
Hi, I’m Finley, a Biomedical Science undergraduate student at the University of Sheffield with a strong passion for Maths and Science.
Having recently completed my A-Levels, I have up-to-date knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and understand the challenges students face when preparing for exams. I’ve always enjoyed breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand ideas, which is what led me to tutoring.
I’m patient, approachable, and supportive, and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. I believe that with the right explanation and practice, anyone can improve — it’s just about finding the approach that works best for you.
Outside of studying, I’m interested in music production and enjoy learning new ways to stay productive and organised — skills I also try to pass on to my students.

I tailor every lesson to the student — whether that’s breaking down difficult topics step-by-step, going through past exam questions, or helping build confidence before exams. I focus heavily on exam technique, as this is often the key to improving grades quickly.
I can help with:
GCSE Maths (foundation & higher)
GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Combined Science
Exam preparation and revision strategies
Understanding tricky topics in a simple way
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and structured. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s how real progress happens. I won't waste time teaching the things you already know, I'll get started right with the things that trouble you most.
Whether you're aiming to pass or push for top grades, I’ll help you get there.
