About Grady
Though I am currently finishing my Undergrad with a B.S. in History and a minor in French, I have repeatedly proven my value through my work. Upon completing my first semester as a History major at Tech I was asked to conduct research for the university by my professors. This culminated in my involvement with Tech's CISE grant programs, collaboration and contribution to major works soon to be published, and being chosen to conduct archival research for the Library of Congress and National Archives in Washington D.C. This work gives me the experience and knowledge necessary to coach others to success. Simply, I have always had a knack for History and Geography, and I want to share my knowledge and talents with others.

My goal is to cultivate my students' understanding of their respective subjects of study and to ensure that they understand the material objectively and critically. I want to ensure that they know not only what happened and when, but why.
A typical lesson includes the introduction of the subject, the identification of major world events/characters relevant to the period, the identification of the cause-and-effect relationships between said characters and events, and a critical analysis of said relationships. This would conclude with a short evaluation or quiz to ensure that the student has retained the critical points of the lesson and understood the material. Supplementary teaching would be provided until all of the material is understood.
I am currently finishing up my undergrad, so I understand which approaches work best when it comes to teaching and which topics can be more cumbersome than others to master. I provide my own personal techniques of study and learning that have worked for me very recently on the collegiate level.
My lessons are for those that seek a History degree, a French minor, and a post-secondary Psychology and Geography education. I am currently qualified to teach up to Upper-Division History Undergrad classes. I specialize in European History and World Geography in particular, and I am also well-versed in American History.
