About Vickie
As a Music undergraduate with 15 years of dedicated experience playing the flute, my greatest fulfilment comes from demystifying complex concepts, particularly music theory application and performance anxiety management. I want to teach because I believe every student deserves to see their own potential unlocked, not just handed a set of notes or rules. My personal approach is centred on fostering independent mastery through a diagnostic, performance-based methodology: I guide students to the answer using tailored technical exercises and conceptual phrasing, ensuring they build durable artistic instinct rather than relying on rote practice. Ultimately, my goal is not just temporary grade improvement or a clean recital, but to cultivate the confidence and critical listening skills that will benefit them across their entire musical and academic career."
