About Heike
After graduating from high school with a specialization in music at the Musisches Gymnasium, I first studied foreign languages in Salzburg and worked for a long time in marketing and sales until I finally turned my long-time hobby into a profession, for example after private courses and studying jazz / pop music at the Free Music Center in Munich. For many years I have been playing in ensembles, singing solo as well as in classical and modern choirs, accompanying singers and instrumentalists on the ukulele and piano. Since 2012 I have been a lecturer (choir / singing, piano, ukulele) and accompanist of the jazz choir at the Free Music Center in Munich.

I am happy to teach you the basics for this addictive instrument with fun & empathy. I can fall back on a wide practical repertoire / styles (jazz, Latin, pop, musical, etc.) and very good knowledge of music theory. There is no one method of teaching for each student. We first individually discuss the wishes of the pupils and determine the content & goals with a look at previous knowledge (examples): - voices of the instrument - simple accompaniment / chords - different striking patterns - what is important when singing and accompaniment - scale - more complex chords (e.g. Jazz) - finger picking (melodies and chord / accompaniment schemes) - deepen knowledge of music theory - ear / rhythm training etc.

Perfect! Heike ist sehr sympathisch und hat eine tolle Art ihr Wissen zu vermitteln. Der Unterricht bringt Freude und es macht Spaß zu lernen. Auf meine persönlichen Wünsche ist sie immer eingegangen. Ein echter Herzensmensch mit viel Verständnis und Emphatie.
