About Aadhvika
I'm currently a Computer Science major at UIUC, one of the top-ranked CS programs in the country, and I bring both strong academic credentials and real tutoring experience to every lesson. I scored a 1550 on the SAT and earned 5s on AP Physics 1 and AP Calculus BC, so I know these subjects and tests inside and out. Beyond the scores, I've spent real time in the classroom: I ran SAT bootcamps on Schoolhouse and tutored Math and English at Kumon, where I learned how to adapt my teaching to fit each student's pace and learning style. I take tutoring seriously and show up prepared for every session, with a clear plan for what we'll cover and why it matters. My approach starts with figuring out exactly where a student is stuck, not just what topic they're struggling with, so we can build from a solid foundation instead of just reviewing material they've already seen. A typical lesson begins with quick review of trouble spots, moves into new concepts broken down step by step with plenty of examples, and ends with practice problems I can walk through live so mistakes get caught right away. For SAT prep, I focus on timed, test-like practice combined with targeted strategy for each section, since I know firsthand what it takes to score well. What sets me apart is that I'm still a student myself, so I remember exactly what it's like to be confused by a concept, and I explain things the way I wish someone had explained them to me. I work with middle school through high school students in Math, Physics, Computer Science, and SAT prep.
