About Corné
I have completed my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Cape Town, in Politics and Religious Studies. I have been a course tutor for my Honours year, where I reach out to my students over online platforms during the pandemic to allow them to achieve great results. I can tutor, Politics and general humanities at the university level. At the high school level, Economics, Afrikaans and Drama.

I have been a tutor to first-year university students, in a class setting of 20 students. I had to mark their essays and assignments and give them lessons. I teach on three levels, firstly, I would ask questions to see whether the students have engaged with the content. If not, I would move to the second level, which is to provide a summary of the content and based on that ask the students questions linked to what I said. If this fails as well, I will have to break the lesson into two sections, a section where the students read or does an activity and a section where I mark/explain or work closely with them to see whether they on the right track.
