About Daisy
I am a second-year Physics student at UCL. I achieved A* in Mathematics, A in Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at A level. I really enjoy exploring the logic behind problems and finding effective ways to approach them. I am passionate about teaching because I enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts and experience the satisfaction of making progress.
Outside of academics, I love dancing, especially soul hip-hop style, and I also practise Chinese calligraphy. If you are interested in learning Chinese, I would be happy to share that with you too!

Before each lesson, I like to understand the student’s goals, current level and what they would like to focus on, so that I can adapt the lesson to their individual needs. During the lesson, we will briefly review previous topics before moving on to new material. I will explain each concept clearly and use examples to make it easier to understand. I also believe that interaction is an important part of learning, so I will ask questions and give students opportunities to practise what they have learnt. Throughout the lesson, I will check their understanding and provide constructive feedback.
For me, teaching is not just about helping students solve a particular question. I want them to understand the thinking and logic behind what they are learning, so they can apply these skills to new and unfamiliar problems. I also hope to help students develop effective learning habits and become more independent and confident learners.
At the end of each lesson, we will review the key points and discuss what to focus on next. My aim is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can learn at their own pace and feel confident about their progress.
