About Utkarsh
Hi, I’m Utkarsh, a 4th-year medical student at UCL with an iBSc in Cardiovascular Science. I’m organised, approachable, and genuinely enjoy helping students understand topics clearly and build confidence in their learning.
I know GCSEs and A-levels can feel stressful, so I focus on making lessons calm, structured, and easy to follow. I explain concepts step by step, adapt to each student’s pace, and aim to make sessions productive but supportive. My name is Utkarsh, and my tutoring style is structured, exam-focused, and tailored to each student’s starting point. I prioritise clear explanations, strong foundations, and then build towards exam technique and confidence, rather than rote memorisation. Concepts are broken down step-by-step, with frequent checks for understanding and active questioning to make sure students can explain ideas back in their own words.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and delivered online, using a shared screen, digital whiteboard, and exam-style questions. Sessions usually follow a clear structure: quick recap, teaching of new content, guided practice, and exam-focused questions, with time for targeted feedback. I also help students learn how to revise effectively, including exam strategy, common pitfalls, and how to approach mark schemes.
I am a 4th-year UCL medical student with an iBSc in Cardiovascular Science, and I have extensive experience learning and applying Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and Physics at a high academic level. My medical training means I am used to explaining complex material clearly and efficiently, with a strong focus on understanding rather than memorising.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE students (Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Physics) and A-Level Biology students, typically aged 14–18, including those aiming to improve grades, build confidence, or prepare for exams.
