About Taro

Hello, I'm currently an ambitious and driven Mechanical Engineering student at University College London (UCL). My academic journey has been focused on Maths and Physics, both of which are subjects I am incredibly passionate about. This passion extends beyond just personal learning, as I thoroughly enjoy sharing this knowledge with others.

I'm a self taught IGCSE and Alevel student, as I attended a traditional italian school which had a different curriculum. I optimised my studying approach and got myself an A* in Maths, an A* in Further Maths, and an A in Physics with little external help.

When I'm not studying or tutoring, I enjoy playing chess, hiking, and reading up on the latest tech innovations. I believe that balance is key to maintaining an active mind, and these hobbies help keep me grounded.

I am not just a tutor, but a mentor and friend to my students. I believe in creating a comfortable learning environment where questions are encouraged, and learning feels less like a chore and more like an adventure. Looking forward to embarking on this academic journey together with you!

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for GCSE and A-Level students of all ages who are studying Maths or Physics. Whether you are struggling to grasp the fundamentals or aiming to excel and achieve top grades, I can tailor my lessons to meet your needs.

My teaching style is grounded in an adaptive, individual-centered approach. I believe that everyone learns in their own unique way, so my lessons are tailored to suit each student's needs. Whether you are a visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic learner, I will adjust my teaching style to match yours.

We will start by identifying your strengths and weaknesses in the subject, then work together to build up your confidence and knowledge. I use a blend of detailed explanations, real-world examples, and practice problems to ensure concepts are understood fully and can be applied practically. Additionally, I also include review sessions that reinforce previous material and ensure that everything is being retained and understood over time.

A standard lesson with me lasts approximately 1 hour. However, I am flexible with the length of each session depending on the student's needs, learning speed, and the subject matter being covered. For complex topics that require more in-depth exploration, or in cases where students need extra support, longer lessons can be arranged.

Regardless of your current level of understanding, my goal is to make complex concepts more accessible and learning more enjoyable. So, let's conquer Maths and Physics together!
