About Bokun
I am a UCL Masters student who was born in China and moved to the UK at age 13. I am fluent in both English and Chinese and have taught Mandarin as a part-time school tutor and private tutor at university.

As a fluent speaker in both languages, I understand the key differences in the languages and difficulties a student might face. So I focused on these differences and offer the student an interest-based teaching approach, tailored to each student's need and level of experience. I always tell students the origin of a word/phrase and interesting cultural stories to help the student memorize certain words, and as a native speaker, I offer the student a chance to practice the language with a local Chinese person, which is always the quickest way to learn a language.
