About Shelana
Hi there! My name is Shel and I'm a passionate English Tutor (UCL Graduate) with over 12 years of experience teaching English Language & Literature to a wide range of ages (GCSE, A-Level, University and Adult Learners) I also teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL / TESOL) and have taught abroad in Thailand.
I'm a huge English GEEK, to say the least, and I love sharing my passion for English to help students build confidence and become the English student they've always wanted to be.
I'm a big believer in unlocking your brain power, memory, and focus to help you reach your goals. I also make sure to tailor my lessons to your individual learning needs (SEN and Neurodiverse-friendly lessons).
With me, you're not just getting a tutor, you're getting a mentor and a coach who will be dedicated to supporting you with your learning and helping you improve your confidence for success.
Outside of teaching, I have a creative spirit. I enjoy indulging in music, theatre, and writing poetry. Reading and watching documentaries feed my curiosity, and travelling allows me to explore new cultures and perspectives.
