Hi, I’m a soon-to-be graduate from the University of Chicago with a strong foundation in math, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. I’ve helped students succeed across subjects by breaking down complex ideas into simple, logical steps they can truly understand. With experience in academic research, tech, and science communication, I bring not only subject expertise but also professionalism, patience, and a results-oriented mindset. I’ve scored above 1500 on the SAT and offer support for both test prep and college applications. About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is centered on clarity, curiosity, and confidence-building. I start by identifying exactly where a student feels stuck — whether it's a specific concept (like limits in calculus) or a broader pattern (like test anxiety or study habits). From there, I tailor my explanations to fit the student’s learning style, using real-world analogies, visual aids, and step-by-step breakdowns to ensure deep understanding, not just memorization.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of past material to reinforce retention, followed by working through current challenges using practice problems, guided explanations, and collaborative thinking. I end sessions with a short recap and concrete strategies for what to review next, so students feel confident even outside of tutoring. I also provide post-tutoring exercises so students get to practice outside tutoring hours.

What sets me apart is my ability to make tough material feel accessible and even interesting — drawing from my science background at the University of Chicago and experience in applied research. I'm patient, adaptable, and committed to helping students not only succeed academically but grow as independent learners.

I tutor middle school, high school, and early college students, especially those taking Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calc, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, ACT/SAT, or writing college application essays. I'm also fluent in Spanish and can conduct sessions bilingually if needed.
