About Elodie
For two years I volunteered in associations for refugees and immigrants in Paris, where I regularly gave French lessons to foreigners. Besides, I taught French, English and German to small groups of young asylum seekers in Berlin. Both occasions have given me experience of approaching students with different levels of French. Teaching immigrants has been an enriching experience that allowed me to develop special skills including approaching students with patience and supportive mind.
Apart from language, I have also given music and drama lessons, what enabled me to explore artistic teaching methods that could be useful to teach language.

Thanks to my two-years experience of teaching refugees, I have developed playful but structures teaching methods. I definitely believe that languages have to be learned through curiosity and play to be better assimilated. For example, I like using card games or drawings to teach vocabulary or grammar. Also, a good organization and a regular training are key points to better learning.
My goal is to make people wish to learn, without being frustrated in the process. I want to motivate people to try to express themselves in a foreign language, without the fear of making mistakes. I am patient, encouraging, and I adapt myself to my students needs and whishes. Finally, I am excited to help them discover my language and my culture.
