About Peter
I’m a second-year Integrated Engineering student at UBC, and I enjoy helping others understand things that once felt confusing to me as well. Outside of school, I’m really interested in skiing, photography, and aviation. I’m part of UBC’s AeroDesign team, where I get to work on aircraft design projects, and I also play badminton in my free time.
These interests have taught me patience, attention to detail, and how to improve step by step, which is how I approach tutoring as well. I try to keep things clear and structured, while making sure students feel comfortable asking questions. My goal is not just to help with homework, but to help students feel more confident in how they think and learn.

I tutor math and physics for middle school, high school, and introductory university students. My approach is to first find out which part of the topic is causing difficulty, then break it down into simple steps and build understanding from there. In a typical lesson, I review key ideas, work through examples with the student, and then guide them through practice problems so they can apply the method on their own. I try to keep lessons clear, patient, and structured, and I adjust my explanations depending on the student’s level and learning style. As an engineering student at UBC, I have a strong foundation in problem solving, and I aim not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them feel more confident with the material.
