About Jonathan
As a graduate from UBC with a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering and over 5 years of industry experience as a software developer, I've been writing code for over 10 years now. I've worked in a quality assurance position, as a embedded software developer, and as a software developer and engineer in a platform engineering team. I've written code and tested/fixed bugs that has been deployed to 10,000's of devices located across the globe.
I'll always remember the first "Hello World" program I wrote in C in my introduction to computer programming course at UBC, and the joy when after struggling for hours with a program, you finally figure it out and get it to work. This is something I hope to create in you - coding can be one of the most rewarding things you do!

Programming is super fun! But, it can be hard at times.
In my sessions, we'll break down any problems/bugs you may be facing in your software. We'll go over good coding practices and make sure your programs are running as expected.
A typical lesson plan will be either helping you current problems you may be facing in your code, or having me prepare material to go over and teach to you. I believe in a hands-on approach to learning programming, so any lesson will involve you coding yourself (with guidance when needed of course)!
These lessons are for anyone wanting to learn how to code! Highschool students, university students, or anyone else.
