About Mia

I come from a family filled with teachers, lecturers, and special educational needs professionals, and so have grown up with a knowledge of, and a passion for education. Moreover, I enjoy finding fun and unique ways to explain things- for every concept, topic, fact or theory, there are many ways to understand it, and for everyone, there will be at least one which clicks. Which sparks that "ahh" moment where everything falls into place. Through my experience in a number of schools, countries, and curriculums, I have become adept at finding those different manners and modes of explanation and ensuring someone doesn't just know the subject, but that they truly understand it. I have studied IGCSE, EPQ (grade: A), the SATs (score: 1510), and IB DP (points: 45/45), and I am a prospective student at the University of Cambridge.

About the lesson

These lessons are all about you, and can involve anything from help with homework, to revision for exams; understanding concepts taught in class, to writing and editing your coursework. I have been assisting students in their academic journeys for two years now, helping a wide range of pupils from the ages of 5 to 19. Everyone learns differently. Thrives in different environments. Excels in response to different techniques. My tutoring sessions reflect this, in everything from the content, to the length, to the delivery and above all, I aim to not only help students to learn and understand, but to enjoy the content.
