About Madeleine
I am a grade 11 student with a 95 average, offering tutoring in many areas for grade and high schoolers. I've always enjoyed helping classmates understand difficult topics, which motivated me to try and help more students.
I understand school can feel confusing, overwhelming, and stressful sometimes, so I focus on making lessons relaxed, easy to follow, and comfortable for any questions you may have without feeling judged.
In my free time I enjoy walking outside and paddle boarding with my golden retriever, dancing competitively, and relaxing on the beach with my friends. I also work at an ice cream shop in my small town a few times a week, to keep me even busier.
My goal as your tutor is to help you build confidence in the material you're learning and feel more in control of your academic success.

My lessons focus on clear, step-by-step explanations using Ontario curriculum examples and guided practice to build real understanding and improve test and exam performance.
What sets me apart is my ability to simplify concepts after lots of practice helping struggling classmates, making it easier for students to understand common problem areas and not feel alone in their struggles.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material and identifying problem areas. Then, we focus on one main concept, explained simply using examples from the Ontario curriculum. I guide the student through my own examples or help them with their own homework, providing feedback and support along the way. Every session ends with a short recap to ensure the student fully understands the topic and can apply it on their own.

I’ve known Madeleine through school and she’s always really good at helping people understand things when they’re stuck.
