About Arthur

Currently a second-year student of Political Science at the University of Lausanne after spending a year in International Relations in Geneva, I am 19 years old and live in Chexbres, a village in which I did all of my compulsory schooling. I obtained my maturity at the Gymnase de La Cité in Lausanne in 2019.
My interests are vast and range from my passions for history, politics and tennis, to classical music, pastries and cinema. I like to share them and I have always appreciated when I had to fulfill an educational function or lead a group.
Doing homework help since 2016, I also had the opportunity to do my first school replacements in early 2021.

About the lesson

I am patient and attentive to the specific needs of my student, and I am keen to get to know them and understand how I can support, guide and advise them. It is important for me to think back to how I myself approached the subject they are facing so that I can give them advice and, if necessary, provide worksheets or other exercises.
I expect the student to have prepared material to work on and if possible questions that they would like me to answer. Understanding and doing homework, reviewing difficult subjects and preparing for tests are usually the main focus of our activities.
As a native German speaker, I can be helpful in this area, particularly in speaking but also in writing, conjugation and grammar. Having studied English all through school, currently taking a C1 exam course and surrounding myself with a lot of content in this language, I could also be useful to a student in the study of English. French, History, Geography and Maths (except OS) are subjects I have always enjoyed. I also took OS Latin between the ages of 13 and 15 and then a year-long course at the Gymnasium, so I could possibly introduce it to a 7-8H student who was planning to take Latin in 9H.
