About Oscar
I think learning a language is done mostly outside the classroom, and Chinese is no exception. It is a really difficult but massively impressive skill. This is what motivates me to carry on learning, as I have for 10 years.
I have graduated with a first-class degree from the University of St Andrews in Chinese Studies and Economics, and have spent time studying and living in Taiwan, hence can help with both traditional and simplified Chinese characters.
I am fluent in French and love travelling! Being able to speak another language gives such a large feeling of accomplishment, especially when you get to use your skills in that country.
As a non-native, I've gone through the struggles of getting to grips with a completely new way of communicating and writing, I can share my experiences with learning and revision tips, and tell you what does and doesn't work!
謝謝
