About Peter
I am a UK registered Architect (ARB / RIBA 3), with 5+ years of experience working for an award-winning small practice. I studied at some of the UK's top institutions and graduated with a Distinction from my M.Arch at the Bartlett (UCL). As a tutor I offer private tutorials to support those studying architecture at either at undergraduate (RIBA part 1) or postgraduate (RIBA part 2) level, or seeking professional qualification (RIBA part 3).
Students will benefit from my experience of education in elite design schools, as well as my work as an Architect in practice, where I specialise in innovative sustainable building techniques including structural timber, natural stone and earth construction. Outside of architectural practice I am also a furniture maker.

Private tutorial sessions are provided 1-1, either online or in-person (in London), and can be arranged during or outside of term times. The first lesson is free.
My lessons aim to help students by providing them with the knowledge, support and guidance they need to build confidence and succeed in their architecture studies. The sessions are friendly and relaxed, and will be tailored to each students requirements - topics may include:
Design
- Review work-in-progress designs or project work and suggest ways to refine & improve.
- Guidance to help develop the concepts and narratives within a design project.
Technical
- Help with construction detailing and technical aspects of a design project.
- Guidance on enviromental design and structural strategies.
Writing
- Review essays, dissertations and other written material and give constructive feedback.
- Guidance on architectural history, theory and philosophy, as well as essay content, structure and argument.
Skills
- Help to improve technical drawing, sketching, modelmaking, and all round visual communication.
- Introductory tutorials on CAD software: Vectorworks, Microstation, SketchUp, Rhinocerus, as well as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
