About Eunjung

I bring a wealth of diverse teaching experiences that underscore my commitment to education.

In my capacity as a math tutor, I not only completed the challenging AP Calculus class during my 11th year but excelled with a perfect score of 5. Building on this achievement, I am currently immersed in the rigors of Advanced Linear Algebra, a college-level course offered within the high school curriculum. In addition to my coursework, I have dedicated the last six months to serving as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for Algebra 1, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus AB & BC. This experience has afforded me a deeper understanding of these subjects while allowing me to contribute actively to the learning experiences of my peers. In addition to my TA role, I have taken on the responsibilities of a senior peer tutor within my school. In this capacity, I have conducted targeted math teaching sessions for middle and high school students. Beyond individual tutoring, I have organized and led peer tutoring sessions, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for students seeking assistance with their mathematical studies. My academic accomplishments, coupled with my hands-on experience as a TA and peer tutor, reflect not only my mastery of mathematical concepts but also my commitment to helping others succeed in their academic pursuits. I am eager to bring this expertise to your educational setting and contribute to the growth and achievement of students.

About the lesson

In my instructional approach, paramount importance is given to accommodating the unique learning styles of students, recognizing the individual circumstances that influence their educational journey, including urgency, personal style, and academic goals.

Basic Lesson Plan for Beginners:

1. Preliminary Meeting:

Before the official session, I conduct a preliminary meeting. This session is devoted to understanding your learning preferences, academic goals, and areas of challenge, with the overarching aim of facilitating the achievement of your educational objectives.

2. Curriculum Customization:

Swiftly following the preliminary meeting, I meticulously find the course materials tailored to the specific concept under consideration. Then, without using the textbook (or the least) I explain the concepts using the whiteboard and visual aids as a priority. This process can help students learn concept effectively.

3. Application through Example Problems:

After gaining basic understanding about the concept, I move onto the practical application of acquired knowledge. It involves solving example problems, providing you with the opportunity to apply your learning in the context of basic problem-solving scenarios.

4. Progression to Advanced Problem Solving:

By gaining the ability to solve basic problems, the curriculum advances to more challenging questions. It helps the students to tackle complex problems, fostering the integration of various concepts for the development of advanced problem-solving skills.

5. Flexibility and Feedback:

As emphasized, lesson plan can be changed based on students' suggestions and feedback. Effective communication is fundamental, and I am committed to collaboratively shaping the learning experience to suit your unique needs.
