Hello everyone. My names Amanda Dewey. I have been working with kids for over 15 years. I have a son of my own who is in middle school. I love working with kids and helping them love learning! My goal is for you to learn and have fun learning!

I am a hands on teacher. I like to keep lessons fun and keep things engaged. A typical lesson will be me explaining to the student what we are going to be going over, reviewing what we learned last time and then teaching the new lesson. I feel like what sets me apart from others is that I take my time out and I get to know the student. I try to relate to them by talking about what they are into and we talk about things they like. I use what I learn about them (thing they are into) and take that info and incorporate it into our lessons. To make them more interested in what we are doing. For example if the student is into cars, I use that and make sure if we are doing reading lessons that I find things that deal with cars. Math lessons depending on age the problems consists of cars as well.
