About Kelsey
My students’ success is fulfilling to me. I’ve enjoyed instilling an appreciation for the subject that most people despise. I understand the frustration of thinking you’ll never use the material or that math is just plain hard; I’ve also been a successful math student who encountered a difficult unit. By providing a different point of view and assuring you that you can do it, I know you will feel better in the end. My sessions will feel less like work and more like something you look forward to. Questioning, application, and alteration is how I like to teach and how I structure my lessons. I start where students are then provide visuals and examples that we can both work through together. I am student centered and content centered. Lessons are aimed at giving an understanding of vocabulary and basic concepts that can be used to pass tests or assignments. High school, college, and remediation lessons.
