I have taught classes from age 11 -18. My specialism is physics, though I have studied maths and chemistry to undergraduate level, and am happy to tutor in these subjects right up to A level - Which subject(s) do you teach? Physics, chemistry, maths. - Tell me about your qualifications. BA (First Class), Natural Sciences, Cambridge University: subjects covered: physics, chemistry, maths, cell biology. A levels: Maths, physics, chemistry, all at A grade (the top grade available at that time). O level Biology (A grade) PGCE (teaching qualification) in Secondary Science - How much do you charge? £27 per hour. - Where do you teach? Almost all my tutorials are online tuition via Zoom. I use a visualiser (a high quality video camera with very sharp focus). My students describe this as being as good as if they were sitting next to me. If you live in the Guildford area then I also do face to face tutorials at my home or students' homes, though in the latter case I would need to charge extra to cover travel costs. - When are you available? From 9 a.m. to 7 pm every day apart from Friday - Which ages and levels do you teach? I teach ages 11-18. - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? GCSE, IGCSE, A level - Do you have a personal message for students? School science is often reduced to a set of definitions and formulae, without much attention to the physical meaning of the quantities in the formulae (voltage, energy, momentum, etc.). I focus on enabling this understanding.
