About Ruby
My name is Ruby and I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Oxford. I'm about to go into my third year studying English Language and Literature.
I have experience in tutoring both English and History. I take pride in making my lessons fun and interesting, so that my students come out of tutoring with a new learnt appreciation in these subjects. My aim is to encourage my students to appreciate the humanities, as well as to improve grades.

I teach 1 hour long classes, as I think this is the perfect amount of time to cover a large area of the subject without the lesson dragging on.
I teach humanities subjects, which means that I focus on splitting the lesson into active recall, where I encourage the student to recall their past teaching to improve long term memory, and discussion, in which the student and I talk about their ideas and develop analytical skills.
In my experience, teaching is best when it is interactive, and I will create activities for the student so that the lesson isn't just an overload of information.
