My Teaching Approach
As a Special Education (SPED) tutor, I believe every student can succeed when instruction is tailored to their unique learning style. I create a patient, encouraging, and structured environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and build confidence.
My lessons are individualized using evidence-based strategies, including explicit instruction, multisensory learning, positive reinforcement, and step-by-step skill building. I break complex concepts into manageable parts while providing the repetition, visual supports, and accommodations students need to master new skills.
I collaborate with families to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and educational goals. Whether a student needs support with reading, writing, math, executive functioning, or homework, I focus on developing both academic skills and independence. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students gain confidence, self-advocacy skills, and a lifelo
