About Jonah
I am a senior at Yeshiva University studying English Literature and Political Science. I am experienced teaching in both lecture-style and one-on-one environments, having developed original coursework for my students in the past and making our learning as engaging as possible. Scored top 1% SAT. I also write poetry in my free time.

My tutoring: My students gain the tools to succeed on their own so that they can achieve their goals independently. Whether it's technical writing skills, developing study goals, reading comprehension assistance, or just homework help, I want to provide my students with the academic toolbox so that they thrive on their tests and essays. Writing can be tremendously fun and I share this passion in my classes, making my tutoring sessions enjoyable, easy, and efficient.
A typical lesson plan: If a student is studying for the reading portion of their SAT, I would have the student answer a dozen reading questions in about 10 mins total. I would answer these same reading questions, then compare them with the student. I would then analyze areas to improve in, such as eliminating responses not directly related to the question, saving time by highlighting keywords and sentences back in the text, and showing the student how the CollegeBoard thinks much more simply than expected. We would then review some of the tips and tricks discussed that day specific to this student so he could implement them on his next exam.
