About Sara
I am a recent Zoology graduate based in Belfast who is passionate about animals, biology and the environment. My dissertation was a 40 credit research project specializing in crayfish behavior and I achieved a 1st in the write-up and poster presentation.
I have never pursued Art academically as it has always been something I like to do for fun, however through practicing over the years I have taught myself some invaluable skills and tricks that I wish I had known when studying Art at GCSE level, so I want to share this with you instead!

I am friendly and approachable person with a passion for animals and the environment. I graduated in 2016 with a 2:1 in Zoology, and received a 1st on my final year project and dissertation.
I am currently available to teach a range of levels from transfer test revision to GSCE and University preparation. The topics I specialize in are Biology and Zoology, however I also tutor Art, English and Science up to GCSE level.
I also offer proof reading of essays up to undergraduate level, including coaching on how to improve academic and scientific writing skills.
I have an adaptable and fun approach to teaching, as every student has different needs. I find the most effective way to learn and understand a topic is to actively enjoy your learning methods and use different mediums, for example watching YouTube videos, using flashcards and writing short essays or drawing spider diagrams. I am happy to meet in a coffee shop/library to study or discuss topics over the phone as well as communicating online.
GSCE Art tutoring is only available in person due to the nature of the topic. I offer advice and coaching on how to improve drawing skills to achieve more realistic pieces, focusing of proportion and shading techniques.
I also focus on making topics interesting as part of the learning process, as this is essential when learning a new topic and preparing for exams.
