About Katya
Maths is just too awful. I've got several years tutoring experience - from the age of 17, where I was working with younger students at my school with learning difficulties, to proof reading uni yesterdays just a couple months ago. I did the IB at an international school and have a lot of experience living and working overseas, but through tutoring and the last three years of living in London, I'm familiar with the UK system.
I'm an award winner from King's College London, with a BA in Global Health and Social Medicine, and the highest dissertation mark, and that means that I know how to write. Writing essays, crafting arguments, and hunting down the most important bits from a big book or article or website are what I do best. I've also got experience as an editor, so I'm more than happy to proof your work and even share past essays of my own.
When I first went to uni (way back in 2011) I studied creative writing and history, going on to take an online qualification at Oxford in literary analysis - whilst I don't study literature now, it's what I love and what I enjoy talking and thinking about. I also did theatre all the way through school, taking the IB exam a year early and scoring a 6, and so would be more than happy to work on acting or drama theory with you, too.
Not limited to GCSE, A-level or IB students, I also have experience nannying and babysitting, so if you're younger (or looking on behalf of a younger person!) I'm more than comfortable and able to help. Aside from doing well and getting great marks, I'd be interested in helping you or your child actually enjoy what they're doing, cultivating a genuine interest in learning, and understanding the importance of school, even if it seems hard at the time.
