About Merve
I am a dedicated and passionate Turkish tutor with experience teaching international students both online and in-person. My background includes volunteering as a Turkish teacher in Bulgaria, where I worked with learners from diverse cultures and language levels. I hold a degree in International Relations and have strong communication skills in English, which allows me to clearly explain grammar and vocabulary. My teaching style is student-focused, friendly, and supportive. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit individual needs and goals. As a Turkish tutor with international teaching experience, I focus on making lessons engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I use a communicative approach, combining speaking, listening, and everyday vocabulary so learners can start using Turkish confidently from day one. My lessons include practical dialogues, cultural insights, and fun exercises to keep motivation high.
Each class typically lasts 60 minutes and can be adapted based on the learner’s goals and level. I have taught Turkish to both children and adults, from complete beginners to advanced learners, including during my time volunteering in Bulgaria. Lessons are available both online and face-to-face in Dublin.
