I start my lesson on descriptive writing by asking students to imagine a place they love, using their senses to bring it to life. Then, I show them examples of great descriptive writing and highlight the techniques used. Next, I guide them in writing their own descriptive paragraphs, offering feedback and encouragement. As they write, I circulate around the room to help and provide individual feedback. Finally, we share our writing and discuss what works well. Through this process, I aim to help students develop their descriptive writing skills and tap into their creativity.
