About Sobiga

Hi, I’m Sobiga—an enthusiastic and dedicated Accounting and Finance university student with a strong passion for teaching. I’ve tutored students aged 5 to 16, volunteered in schools, and worked in a nursery, all of which have deepened my love for helping children learn and grow. I specialise in maths and achieved a Grade 9 at GCSE, using my ability to simplify concepts and break down problems clearly to build strong foundations. With two years of tutoring experience, I’m patient, adaptable, and focused on creating a fun, supportive environment where every child can thrive and feel confident in their learning.

About the lesson

As a passionate and patient tutor, I specialise in helping KS1 and KS2 children build a strong foundation in maths. I believe every child learns differently, so I take the time to observe how they understand new concepts—whether it’s through visual learning, practical examples, or step-by-step guidance. My strength lies in simplifying tricky ideas, especially when it comes to core topics like addition, subtraction, and number sense. I use clear explanations, everyday examples, and tailored practice to make maths feel less intimidating and more enjoyable. Each session lasts around 1 hour and is paced to match the student’s needs, ensuring they feel supported and never rushed. I’m currently studying Accounting and Finance at university and achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, which reflects both my ability and enthusiasm for the subject. I’m deeply committed to helping young learners grow in confidence and ability—one step at a time, with patience, care, and lots of encouragement.
