About Thomas
Hi! I'm Tom, a recent History graduate from the University of Birmingham, and I’m currently preparing to start a graduate role in the tech industry later this year. Before uni, I was History Prefect at school and helped tutor GCSE students in History which is where I first realised how much I enjoy supporting others with their learning. I’ve always been drawn to subjects that involve big ideas, arguments and debates, and I love helping students make sense of complex topics and feel more confident in their own understanding. I know what it’s like to juggle deadlines, revision and pressure, so my goal is always to make learning feel more manageable and less stressful. I tutor History, Politics and Psychology at both GCSE and A-Level. I recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in History, and I achieved A grades in all three subjects at A-Level. My lessons are usually an hour long and are completely tailored to the student. I can help with content understanding, essay planning and exam technique depending on what you're looking for. I'm also happy to review past essays or practice questions in our sessions so we can work on building structure and confidence. My teaching style is friendly and supportive, but focused. I know how overwhelming these subjects can feel at times, so I aim to break things down clearly and make sessions feel manageable and useful. Whether you’re looking to push for top grades or just need a bit of help making sense of a tricky topic, I’ll adapt to your goals and your pace.
