About Yan
I am native Chinese. I came to Spain to study "Master of Management" through a scholarship from IE Business School, an international top ranked European business school in Madrid. To date, I have been working and living in Spain for 12 years. I have been a senior professional in the field of communication, business development and investor relations during the first 15 years of my professional career. I am currently a Chinese teacher, life coach and actress. Throughout these years, I have taught Chinese to both private students and business professionals in the classroom in English and Spanish. For me, teaching a language is to introduce a culture and a social psychology to those interested. The key is persistence and continuous practice.

To begin with, I adopt the methods that are best for the students. Normally I use the "Mandarin logic unit method". That is, I follow a logical order of your Chinese learning. You can learn the easy and most useful elements of the words (monosyllables), while I guide you in the successive order of one block of knowledge behind the other, until you are naturally able to speak sentences and have conversations. I break the language into easily assimilated parts, which allow you to coherently arm the mandarin piece by piece. This means less frustration and you will be able to achieve real skills that allow you to learn the language on a solid and logical basis.
