About Lachlan
With 12 years of experience as a Singing tutor, I have had the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. I teach School students, College students, and Working Professionals who want to improve their vocal abilities and achieve success in music.
My teaching style is friendly, encouraging, and adaptable. I understand that each student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching methods to suit individual needs. By creating personalised lesson plans, I help learners stay engaged and make consistent progress towards their goals.
My classes focus on breath control, pitch correction, rhythm development, vocal expression, tone quality, articulation, and stage confidence. Through practical exercises, guided practice, and performance opportunities, students develop strong technical skills and self-confidence. Continuous feedback ensures steady improvement.
Along with Singing, I teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Vocal Performance, and Song Interpretation. These complementary subjects help students deepen their understanding of music and improve their overall performance abilities. I also encourage disciplined practice and self-reflection.
One of my key strengths is helping students overcome fear and perform with confidence. My mission is to support learners throughout their musical journey and help them discover the joy of singing.

My Singing methodology combines flexibility, creativity, understanding, and time management to provide students with practical and effective vocal training. I focus on helping students develop skills that they can confidently apply in performances and everyday singing situations.
The first step in my teaching process is understanding the student's strengths, challenges, and objectives. This helps me create a customised learning plan that supports steady progress and long-term success.
Creativity keeps lessons engaging and motivating. I use a variety of exercises, song-based activities, listening tasks, and performance opportunities to encourage active participation and growth.
Students learn breathing techniques, pitch accuracy, rhythm control, vocal projection, diction, tone quality, and performance skills. Practical exercises allow students to apply these concepts immediately and see measurable improvement.
Understanding and encouragement are important aspects of my teaching style. I create a positive learning environment where students feel confident exploring their abilities and overcoming challenges.
Time management ensures that every lesson is structured and goal-oriented. Sessions include warm-ups, technique development, song practice, and performance preparation.
Besides Singing, I also teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Vocal Care, Sight Singing, and Performance Skills. My aim is to help students become confident, capable, and versatile singers.
