About Leif
I am an experienced violin instructor with 12 years of tutoring experience teaching school students, college learners, and working professionals. Teaching music has been a rewarding journey, and I enjoy helping students achieve their personal goals while building confidence and creativity.
My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a positive and motivating learning experience. I believe that patience, regular practice, and encouragement are the foundations of successful learning. Every lesson is designed according to the student's level and aspirations.
Over the years, I have successfully helped many students improve their technical skills and musical expression. One of my proudest achievements has been seeing students develop a genuine passion for music and continue learning with enthusiasm.
I strive to provide lessons that are engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful for students of all ages.

I follow a student-centred teaching style that emphasises compassion, supportiveness, and effective communication. I believe every student deserves personal attention and a learning experience that supports their goals and interests.
In violin classes, I focus on posture, bow control, rhythm, intonation, and music reading. I divide challenging concepts into smaller and easier steps so students can progress comfortably and confidently.
I encourage students to ask questions and provide regular support throughout their learning journey. Constructive feedback and encouragement help students remain motivated and enjoy their achievements.
Apart from violin, I also teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, and rhythm development. These subjects help students strengthen their musical understanding and performance abilities.
My goal is to help students become confident and creative musicians.
