Kia ora e te whānau.
Thank you for clicking on my corner of Superprof. My name is Olive and I am a NZ-trained primary teacher. I want to deepen my practice and move into one-to-one teaching. I offer support for learning English as a second language and for boosting literacy skills to assist Reading and Writing (Primary-school Level). My main focus is creating a safe environment to make learning enjoyable, fun and accessable for everyone.

My lessons will start with a fun-warm up to prepare your brain for learning and to ensure you feel comfortable.
1. Review last lesson and skills learned.
2. New skill shared, introduced and explicit instruction of how to achieve it.
3. Guided practice - interactive, multi-sensory activities and games where we go through the new skills together.
4. Independent Practice - this is your chance to practice the skill alone and ask questions if you get stuck!
5. Micro-assessment - a quick review of the new skill learned to understand your next-learning steps.
