About Terrell
I am Terrell, an English teacher.
I’m from the United States and speak Portuguese at an intermediate level, so I can explain English clearly and practically. I also learned a second language, so I understand well the challenges that come up.
I spent two months in São Paulo, living day-to-day life, getting to know Brazilian culture up close, and studying music styles like MPB and samba, both on guitar and through the lyrics of people like Nara Leão, Gal Costa, and Elis Regina. This helped me understand better how Brazilians learn English and how to make lessons more real and useful.
Besides being a teacher, I’ve been a guitarist for six years. I think learning English is similar to learning music. It requires practice, listening, and rhythm. Whenever possible, I like to bring this idea into lessons to make everything more fun and easier to remember.
My lessons focus on conversation, pronunciation, and comprehension, always in the way you need to use English.
