About Dmitri
With more than 15 years of experience, I am a professional Flute instructor teaching School students, College students, and working professionals. I believe flute learning should be simple, structured, and meaningful for every learner.
My tutoring style is practical and student-focused. I train students in breath control, finger technique, tone clarity, scales, rhythm exercises, and musical expression. Lessons are flexible and designed to support steady improvement without stress.
I value open communication and regular feedback. I explain techniques step by step and encourage students to ask questions. Accountability is ensured through planned practice schedules and progress tracking. Integrity is central to my teaching approach.
In addition to flute instruction, I also teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, and performance preparation. I assist students with exam readiness and recital confidence.
My unique skill is creating lesson plans that suit beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students. I aim to make flute learning motivating, disciplined, and enjoyable.

My flute teaching methodology is built around Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, creating a learning experience that is both structured and inspiring. I begin by understanding each student’s skill level, musical goals, and learning style. Clear communication is central—I explain techniques such as posture, breath control, fingering, articulation, phrasing, and sight-reading in a step-by-step, accessible manner. Students are encouraged to ask questions, provide feedback, and actively participate, which builds confidence and engagement.
Creativity is at the heart of my teaching. I guide students to explore various musical genres, experiment with improvisation, and develop personal interpretations of pieces. I also include exercises in musical composition and self-expression to nurture originality and artistic voice. Flexibility ensures that lessons are adapted to each student’s pace, strengths, and areas of challenge, creating a fully personalised learning journey.
Alongside flute performance, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, and sight-reading to develop comprehensive musicianship. My methodology ensures students gain technical mastery, expressive ability, and performance confidence, while fostering a lifelong love for music and a personal connection to their instrument.
