About Hamzah

Hi! I’m Hamzah, an IB student with a 4.0 GPA and a passion for making math make sense. I finished the full Kumon Math program in just three years and love helping students build real confidence, not just memorize formulas. Furthermore, I love to play any sport you can name, besides anything on ice as sadly, I have never skated before! My lessons are all about clear explanations, guided practice, and helping you find your own answers, because true learning sticks when you figure it out yourself. Whether you're aiming for better grades, stronger foundations, or IB success, I’m here to help you reach your goals in a way that’s supportive, challenging, and even a little fun. About the lesson

As a tutor, my goal is not just to help students get the right answers, but to make sure they actually understand the process behind them. I focus on building strong foundations and guiding students through each step, while asking the right questions that help them discover the solutions on their own. I believe real learning happens when students are involved, not just watching, and that confidence comes from figuring things out with support rather than being given the answer right away.

In a typical lesson, we start by quickly reviewing what we covered last time, just to make sure everything is solid. Then I introduce new concepts in a way that is simple and easy to understand. We work through a few examples together until the student feels ready to try some on their own. I always encourage students to attempt problems independently, while I stay there to guide them if they get stuck. At the end of each session, we go over the most important takeaways and talk about strategies they can use to keep improving on their own.

What makes me different as a tutor is that I have a strong academic background and real experience helping students succeed. I am currently an IB student with a 4.0 GPA and I finished the full Kumon Math program in just three years. This has given me a deep understanding of how to master math skills quickly and effectively, and I use that experience to help others do the same. I don't just teach for memorization — I help students really understand the material so they can become more independent and confident over time.

My lessons are a great fit for middle school and high school students, especially anyone taking IB MYP or IB Diploma Programme courses. I also work with students who are preparing for school exams, standardized tests, or just want to strengthen their math skills overall.
